Introducing the Degelman Pro-Cast, the world’s first precision granular applicator designed specifically for the Degelman Pro-Till High Performance Discs and Strawmaster series of heavy harrows.

The Pro-Cast features customized hose routing components for all of our available machines. Using a combination of fixed points and sliders ensure the hoses are safely routed to the rear of the Pro-Cast.

The deflectors are located on the rear of the machine, behind the discs, but ahead of the packers. The deflection angle is easily adjusted to customize where your product hits the ground. There are many factors at play here, but a combination of deflector angle, front and rear disc depth, and packer pressure can ensure the majority of your product ends up at the right depth.

Distribution Manifold

The Pro-Cast delivers consistent distribution with its distribution manifold. The Pro-Cast uses a distribution manifold to ensure even product flow across the machine. Unique to broadcast applicators, but common to air seeders, the distribution manifold provides unparalleled uniform distribution amongst broadcast applicators. This is one of the main primary advantages of our machine. 

For Pro-Till Machines, we are using an 18 outlet distribution head with outlets for 1-1/4” ID hoses.

Simple, Versatile Metering System

We are always interested in making things simple for the end user. The Pro-Cast features an easily adjustable Metering system to achieve a wide range of results. In addition, calibrating the unit is done in just a few short steps. 

The Pro-Cast’s versatile metering system allows for a wide range of application rates using the same components. By engaging or disengaging rollers, operators can tailor the metering drive to their application.

Seed where air drills and planters can't

While we won’t recommend parting with your air drill or planter anytime soon, the Pro-Cast is a great backup plan when you need to seed in adverse conditions. Paired with a Pro-Till, you will give yourself the opportunity to seed in adverse conditions. 

Variable Rate (Auto-Adjusting), Sectional Control Capability

The Pro-Cast is a variable rate machine. In addition to that, Trimble’s IsoBUS software enables sectional control for the Pro-Cast. The current Pro-Cast 80 model is capable of single section on/off and will have limited sectional control options to follow

Introducing the Pro-Cast 28 granular applicator. The Pro-Cast 28 is a high performance tool that excels in seeding cover crops or pasture, such as grass, alfalfa or hay. In addition to cover crops, large seed and small seed blends can be planted, including annual ryegrass, cereal rye and wheat.

Compatible with the 20 and 26 ft Pro-Till High performance tillage tool, the Pro-Cast 28 offers a 28.2 cu ft/22.7 bushel hopper volume, which gives you the capacity to keep you in the field longer.

HOW IT WORKS

Seeds are fed from the seed tank via the electrically controlled seeding shaft into the air duct. Here, the seeds are conveyed by air support through plastic hoses to the dispersion plates, and then evenly distributed close to the soil. This process allows for precise seeding even in windy conditions.
