Reports To

This role works closely with engineering, production, quality, and customer service teams to translate technical knowledge into clear, accurate, and practical documentation that supports manufacturing, service, and customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineers and Customer Service team to create service bulletins and instructions for product updates.
  •  Structure and format documents for the intended audience — distinguishing between operator-facing content, technician-level service documentation, and internal production instructions.
  • Integrate visual content (diagrams, exploded views, annotated photographs, and CAD-derived illustrations) to support written instructions wherever visuals improve clarity or reduce error risk.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of existing documentation to identify gaps, outdated content, or inconsistencies introduced by product or process changes.
  • Support cross-functional teams during new product launches by developing supporting documentation in parallel with design and production readiness activities.
  • Maintain document version control and organization within company systems to ensure accurate and current documentation is accessible to all departments.
  • Develop and improve documentation processes, templates, and standards to support consistency, efficiency, and ease of use across the organization.

Work Conditions:

  • Some travel may be required, but it is not a regular part of the job.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary training in technical writing, communications, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience producing technical content in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficient with a wide range of computer systems and software, including email, presentation, database, visual design and CAD software.
  • Excellent technical writing skills.
  • Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with multiple departments.
  • Self-motivation and ability to balance priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision.
